EACH FEEDING SHOULD BE:

Tips & Tricks

✓ GO OUTSIDE OFTEN WITH THEM: Take your puppy outside to go to the bathroom 10-15 minutes prior to eating.

Proof is in the poop! Talk about your puppy's poop more than you think! Stool will say a lot about their overall health

Puppies cannot control their bladder until they are approx. 4-6 months old so be patient and take them out often!

✓ TEACH THEM MANNERS: Have your puppy sit and wait before eating to help teach patience.

Be consistent with keywords which will make housetraining easier.

Reward good behavior! (i.e., positive reinforcement or treats!)

Consistency, attention, understanding, and patience are all key in housetraining

✓ TRY AN INTERACTIVE FEEDER: Eating too fast? Try using a lick mat or enrichment toy to help slow them down from our Messy Mutts collection!

Feed several small meals throughout the day for the first 6 months.

Introduce grooming early on (i.e., trimming nails, brushing, bathing)

Mental stimulation is just as important as physical stimulation! Try enrichment toys from our Messy Mutts collection!

Leave the raw food on the counter for a few minutes to help take the chill out prior to feeding.

✓ DON'T FORGET YOUR PHONE: Take a lot of pictures! They grow up way too fast!
